We arrived at Thorney Lakes for my son’s wedding at Almonry Barn in Mulchelney. What a gem!! Beautiful unspoilt spot and so quiet and peaceful. Huge area for tents and caravans but you were able to pitch where you like. No straight boring lines here! Plenty of facilities and they were always clean and tidy. The lakes are a hidden gem whether you fish or not and lovely for a stroll round. The owners of the site are really friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do in the area ie Glastonbury, Wells, Muchelney Abbey and the Clarks Village. Or you can be lazy and just lie in a lounger and watch the wild life. Fantastic place. We will definitely return.
